Lydia and Howard from Mindful Kids are back at Yoga Quarter with a workshop for families!
Thursday 31st October | 11am-1pm
Workshop Goals:
Teach parents and children how mindfulness can help manage anxiety and emotional regulation.
Equip families with practical mindfulness tools they can easily incorporate into their daily lives.
Build awareness of mindfulness services for the local community.
Workshop Structure:
Introduction and benefits of mindfulness for emotional well-being in families.
Howard, an experienced CAMHS practitioner, will address common mental health challenges children and families face.
I will guide families through simple, fun mindfulness techniques (e.g. breathing techniques, body scan meditation, mindful movement etc)
A creative family activity to allow participants to build a “Mindfulness Toolkit” to take home, filled with resources they can use to reduce stress and build emotional resilience (e.g. mindful breathing, affirmation cards, gratitude practice, mindful listening, loving-kindness meditation, emotion check-ins).
Q&A session to address individual challenges and provide further support.
