Mindful Kids Belfast: Helping Children Manage Anxiety & Emotions Through Mindfulness

Lydia and Howard from Mindful Kids are back at Yoga Quarter with a workshop for families!
Thursday 31st October | 11am-1pm

Workshop Goals
:

  • Teach parents and children how mindfulness can help manage anxiety and emotional regulation.

  • Equip families with practical mindfulness tools they can easily incorporate into their daily lives.

  • Build awareness of mindfulness services for the local community.

Workshop Structure:

  • Introduction and benefits of mindfulness for emotional well-being in families.

  • Howard, an experienced CAMHS practitioner, will address common mental health challenges children and families face.

  • I will guide families through simple, fun mindfulness techniques (e.g. breathing techniques, body scan meditation, mindful movement etc)

  • A creative family activity to allow participants to build a “Mindfulness Toolkit” to take home, filled with resources they can use to reduce stress and build emotional resilience (e.g. mindful breathing, affirmation cards, gratitude practice, mindful listening, loving-kindness meditation, emotion check-ins).

  • Q&A session to address individual challenges and provide further support.
