The Curated Quarter Sessions : Célia Tiab

YQ East is launching The Curated Quarter Sessions, Ballyhackamore’s, newest, cosiest intimate venue. Join us for our first weekend of live music and food.

The studio is welcoming the amazing Célia Tiab on Friday 2nd December.

Célia Tiab is a singer, songwriter, and musician. With a deep passion for music since her youngest age, and especially for the warm sounds of voices, guitars and electric pianos from the 60s and 70s, Célia Tiab, 21 year-old French singer and guitar player, has for mission to create music that she feels is truthful to herself, unpretentiously.

After many collaborations with the members of the Irish record label Soft Boy Records (Kojaque, Brién, Gaptoof), Célia released her first EP ‘Cécé’ in July 2022, inspired by Donny Hathaway’s gospel, Nick Hakim’s indie soul, and Andy Shauf’s folk.

The French-born lived in Belfast from 2020 to 2022, and met the Belfast native multi-instrumentalist Ben Flavelle-Cobain. After Ben’s participation on Célia’s first single ‘Bibibi’ on the fretless bass, the two friends will perform as a bass/guitar and vocals duo for the first time at Yoga Quarter.

We would love for you to join us for an evening of music & food at YQ East.

Friday 2nd December | 7pm - 9pm YQ East | £15 | This is a BYOB event

Proceeds from this event go towards supporting Belfast Community Yoga, a project founded was to help bridge the gap between existing wellness spaces and the wider community.
